Canadian Smocking Tutorial
This example is my grid as a kind of spray so the smocking enlarges as I move down the grid. This is a bit too small so it doesn’t give enough of an idea of how it will grow.
Playing with the scale, a wider grid 2" creates billows, this could be very beautiful in taffeta and even a larger scale. Neoprene could be an interesting material to work with with a large scale grid as it would have rigidity.
