Out on another walk of course, finding brick fragments. And other people’s brick art.

Living by disused bricksworks and landfilled areas means a plethora of material.

A Slab built clay vessel made from native clay, pushed into a brick from the local Hollybrooks bricks works. I kept the form simple, mimicking the kind of free lines of the old bricks, the lack of definition of form. I am looking forward to the firing, I’m not sure if it will survive, but I’m not sure if I’m bothered if it fragments. Like all the others...
