Traumatic Knitting

From the collection of items I picked up at the scrap store, a large 1ply yarn cone. It was badly damaged with most of the outer threads broken. I used some on these for embroidery and then attempted to knit with the cone. This was a fairly irritating experience, the yarn is very fine and breaks easily by itself and the broken threads meant having to constantly pick up a new end which was complicate by the many other loose ends. Eventually I ended up with a small piece of machine knit. The sample is not much to look at but to me is a source of irritation. Artistically, this could be interesting due to the found nature of the yarn, and the insistence that I knit with the broken threads. The emotions drawn out in myself juxtaposed with the relative quietness of the finished sample.
