Imagination vessels

Sketchy painting, loosely inspired by Morandi. 

I paint quite rarely these days and it is amazing how you fall out of practise. It is frustrating to have an idea and not be able to execute it, equally you can't expect to produce something amazing first time! These are from a still life I set up.

These last pieces I am calling Imagination Vessels, because that is what they are. Perhaps they are vessels I wish to own, or have memories of. There is a hidden quality since I don't know who owns them, what is drunk in the glass, who uses it, what it in the container. Maybe a lock of hair, or a dead spider. I was quite pleased with these as a first attempt, I would like to make a few more.
