Diary musings

Diary Musings;

(Not an?) Exhaustive List
-sleep project
- dream diary
- could send blanket to people I know also in isolation and they can record their dreams

Presenting an image with a list, direct people’s thoughts, random person/object - guide people down an illusioary path.

Could present project solely as a website presently, since we cannot interact.

Consider how other artists display their work e.g.
- book - ambiguous titles - suggestive - text and image

What do I like about how these artists display their work and what is great about what they have produced
E.g. is it a response to social conditioning, social roles, questioning preconceptions,

Cornelia Parker - Magna Carta - collaborative, especially with prisoners who felt acknowledged by working on this project. Consider collaboration; who, where, how, what?

Possibly ask people to respond to each list, release a list per day/week e.g. and they submit images in response to this.

Corona - crown/fall of west/loneliness

I am used to working in isolation since I have been self driven with no external guidance for ten years, I feel like I am back to normal.

Questioning myself, my work. Is it good enough, am I intelligent enough to understand the concept and push it to where it can go. Am I letting people down because I can only work within what I can conceive. I am not good at asking for help, I am not sure if I trust people’s judgement, and why is that,  art is not made for yourself, the point is how the viewer responds.
I do not doubt that I am an artist since that’s all I think about, and all I have thought about since I was a child, but I would like to be a good artist. I worry I will miss out on the guidance to achieve this or I may not ask for help where I should which could push me.

I am concerned about not ‘making’ since I am happiest making. But I might need to push this side of me away so that I can give my self the time for thought processes. The start I have made on the quilt s okay, but I feel it is a little bit childish. I could keep making to see what happens. But I am not sure if this is a waste of time. Making can sometimes make you miss the bigger picture.

Considering titles of works/collection works. E.g. Susan Hiller, Joseph Grigely
‘Dedicated to Unknown artists’
‘J-project’
‘Conversations with the Hearing.’

Open Titles, making you look at a different aspect to the work.
