Trimming pots

I little research into more effective trimming/turning of my pots. As my throwing is improving I am trying to make sure I need to do a little turning as possible, which is showing good technique I suppose but it is avoiding the elephant in the room - I hate turning. I really struggle with it. I think because I don’t ever get the work quite centred enough, because I am scared so I don’t have the wheel spinning fast enough, etc etc.

I found this - which was really helpful. I am looking forward to more instruction real time though as well, which I hope we will cover in the elective.

I am aware that ceramics buffs tend to feel the weight of the pot and turn it over to see the bottom, this really gives you an idea of the quality of the ceramicist.
